History with its flickering lamp stumbles along the trail of the past, trying to reconstruct its scenes, to revive its echoes, and kindle with pale gleams the passion of former days. ~Winston Churchill

A Pet Ocelot

All right, you really shouldn't keep a wild animal like an ocelot as a pet... but my goodness are they cute! A series for LIFE magazine (though unpublished, as far as I can tell), 1961, USA.

I want ocelot cuddles! A regular kitty just won't cut it ;)

I love ocelots, but I never realized that people actually kept them as pets. :)

I absolutely adore this blog. :)

My uncle had one in the mid 70s. It was very affectionate and loyal. When his wife was dying of cancer it would never leave her side and protect her. I was really lucky to have been around that great cat.
